Sukiya is a chain of gyudon (beef bowl) restaurants operated by Sukiya Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Zensho Holdings. Renowned for its gyudon and curry dishes, Sukiya boasts the distinctive signage of “牛丼” (gyudon) and “カレー” (curry) in combination with its name.
In 1982, Sukiya opened its first branch, the “Namamugi Ekimae Store,” in Yokohama, Kanagawa. As of July 2023, it has grown to a staggering 1,941 branches in Japan, holding the title for the most extensive domestic network. Moreover, Sukiya has expanded internationally, with outlets in countries such as China, Brazil, and Thailand.

In February 2023, Sukiya underwent a price revision, resulting in the following gyudon price adjustments:
- Gyudon Mini: ¥330 → ¥350
- Gyudon Regular: ¥550 → ¥580
- Gyudon Large: ¥550 → ¥580
- Gyudon Special: ¥700 → ¥730
- Gyudon Mega: ¥850 → ¥880
- Gyudon Regular price remained at ¥400
